The Many Faces of Madelynn ...

Her sweet mom calls her Madelynn and most of her friends call her Maddie!

This beautiful smile and charming personality took us all the way to Green Mountain Nature Trail  at the peak of our Fall Season here in North Alabama.

I love that Maddie brought along several outfit changes.  This location at Green Mountain allows me to capture such a variety of images.  It is a mile and half nature trail that wraps around a man made lake.  There is a covered bridge, a log cabin, and more!  Not to mention being surrounded by the natural beauty that God supplied for us!  What a beautiful day to spend with this beautiful senior and her mom! ...

This year Maddie started her Senior year off and running.  She has her usual million Senior Class activities including being Class President!

Just before we spent this time together, she had received her acceptance letter to  Auburn University !  She is very excited to be starting there in the Fall of 2013.  I also understand that she has decided to pursue a career in medicine.

I am honored that she was able to take time out to allow me to capture these new memories for her...

Thank you Madelynn (Maddie) and your sweet Mom, Debbie for such a fun afternoon!  I loved spending time with the two of you on this beautiful fall afternoon.  Wishing you all the best as you finish your Senior Year and as you make plans towards Auburn!  You're such a doll! ...

What a perfect gift that she gave to Kirk... he loved it!

Mr. Thompson, Kirk's Dad... he was all smiles as well, such a kind & gentle man...

"The First Look" ...  I loved the anticipation ...

Kristy & Kirk have so much fun together... my prayer for them is for there always to be laughter in  their home...

Kristy had the gift of her two brothers "giving her away" ...

and Kirk had the gift of his Two Daughters standing in for him as "Best Girls" ...

What a special blending of two families and two lives together ...

Thank you again Kirk & Kristy for allowing me the opportunity to "Stop these Moments in time" for you two on such a Special Day!! ... Love you guys!  I am praying God's Richest Blessings on your marriage as you seek Him and build your marriage on His Promises for your lives!

Nicole and Alex Say "I DO" ...

For Nicole and Alex it was the perfect day!  There was a hint of Chinese tradition and oriental touches thanks to Nicole's love for the Asian people, and the time that she spent ministering to them overseas.

A kiss on the cheek and a hug from her precious godly grandmother...

Nicole will enter here through these doors where her groom will await for not only the "First Look" but also their "First Kiss" ... EVER ... Such a special commitment that these two have chosen to make to each other to completely wait for even a First Kiss until their Wedding Day ... How blissful and pure... and how our God is going to honor their Covenant and Vows to each other on this Day.  He will honor them with EXTRA beautiful blessings because of those time honored vows of true purity that they have made since the beginning of their relationship.

And then a deep sigh of "WOW" ... ;)  ...

The Ceremony ...

The Reception ...

The First Dance ...

The Send Off...

A Sweet Good-Bye Kiss to her oldest nephew! :) ...

The Perfect Day ...   :) ...

What an honor and joy to be a part of this couples special day!  The primary photographer for Nicole was Olive's Photography, and they also photographed Nicole's sister's wedding when she got married!  My primary role was for the Rehearsal Dinner and for the Reception as well as candids for the family.  The family have been very dear friends of ours for many, many years and we have had the privilege of watching Nicole and her brother & sister grow up before our eyes!  I loved being able to journal her day for her as well!  What a blessing! ...

Thank you Nicole & Alex and we wish you such joy and happiness ahead as you follow God's plan for your lives!

~The Circus is in Town!!~ WHOO...HOO...!!

And I have been waiting to catch this train for YEARS!! ... I LOVE the Circus and EVERYTHING about it!  and I have wanted to take pictures of the arrival of the wonderful circus train for years!  I only barely missed it last year... Even my Mom, always "on a mission" (a story for later!) was desperate to help me this year!  She saw a couple of weeks ago where it was coming to Huntsville again, she lives in the Shoals area (by the way), and let me know to "be on the lookout!"  I put it on my calendar, made phone calls, and got all of my information in order by Monday morning!  My Mom (she's so wonderful, another "by the way", and still loves to see her children happy), called me first thing yesterday morning to make sure that I knew the time!  You see, she had seen it on the news the night before!!  :) ...

I understood that the train was supposed to "Arrive" at 10:30 a.m. at Huntsville Depot so... I arrived promptly at around 9:20 a.m. so that I wouldn't miss a thing! ... When I arrived there were a few people mingling around, AND Ringling Brothers Trains quietly sitting already on the tracks, as if sleeping away ... I was surprised, but not panicked ... I entered the Depot with a smile and a few novice questions ... which were answered by some very kind people.

I was told that the trains arrive during the night and that they were "Unloaded" at 10:30... Not a problem for me, I can find plenty to occupy my time while I wait... which of course I did!  My goal on this particular morning:  "Take Pictures! and lots of them!!" ... :) ... Taking pictures is a "need" and a "deep passion" of mine...

These were the first couple of gentlemen that I met... and were kind enough to allow me to take their pictures!  Circus employees they were! and I was told:  "as long as these photos didn't end up in the Post Office!" ... :) ...

Full of character they were! ... and I enjoyed hanging around... until our friends from Huntsville's Police Department drove by and decided I had worn out my welcome ... Oh well... I just gave them a "Thank You" and a "Thumbs Up" as they waved me to move along!! ... :) ... (I know... I push limits only slightly at times, but I wasn't hurting anyone, and probably would have been fine if that other family hadn't followed me over there! ... I think they may have had a little one with them and I was on my own!) ... :) ... But I captured some neat shots along my way ...
All in all a spectacular morning!  Thank you again Jesus for how you give us these special days... I loved watching the people and capturing the shots!

Shots like this one... of course my thought was "I guess he decided to run away and join the circus!!" ... I would sure like to hang out with them for a day or two and journal a day of pictures!!  How much fun would that be!? ... :) ...

Today's pictures the "Circus Train" ... Next Stop hopefully will be "The Circus" itself!! ... For ticket information in our area click Huntsville VBC.  Capturing Memories and Stopping Moments in Time...
