The Many Faces of Madelynn ...

Her sweet mom calls her Madelynn and most of her friends call her Maddie!

This beautiful smile and charming personality took us all the way to Green Mountain Nature Trail  at the peak of our Fall Season here in North Alabama.

I love that Maddie brought along several outfit changes.  This location at Green Mountain allows me to capture such a variety of images.  It is a mile and half nature trail that wraps around a man made lake.  There is a covered bridge, a log cabin, and more!  Not to mention being surrounded by the natural beauty that God supplied for us!  What a beautiful day to spend with this beautiful senior and her mom! ...

This year Maddie started her Senior year off and running.  She has her usual million Senior Class activities including being Class President!

Just before we spent this time together, she had received her acceptance letter to  Auburn University !  She is very excited to be starting there in the Fall of 2013.  I also understand that she has decided to pursue a career in medicine.

I am honored that she was able to take time out to allow me to capture these new memories for her...

Thank you Madelynn (Maddie) and your sweet Mom, Debbie for such a fun afternoon!  I loved spending time with the two of you on this beautiful fall afternoon.  Wishing you all the best as you finish your Senior Year and as you make plans towards Auburn!  You're such a doll! ...

Can I Have This Dance... For the Rest of our Lives?

Ruby and Larry celebrated FIFTY YEARS of Marriage on September 1st, 2012!

They celebrated with Family & Friends local & who traveled across several states to be with them.

They began their Anniversary Celebration with a "Renewing of their Vows" during Catholic Mass.

And then concluded it with a beautiful Reception ...

These dear friends, who have also been married more than 50 years to each other, are their "original" Maid of Honor & Best Man! I had so much fun meeting them and chatting with them!

Images like these are such a treasure.  Many times when family members have traveled and gathered like this, opportunities are few and far between to capture everyone in the same photograph.  What an honor for me to have been able to "Stop this moment in TIME" for this dear family on their special day! ...

It was such a sweet and special time for me, and I treasure being chosen to capture events like this one.  I always walk away feeling like I have made new friends, and I smile knowing that I have preserved this special day for Ruby & Larry and their family through these images.

Thank you again Ruby & Larry for allowing me this blessing!  I am praying many more years ahead for the two of you as you DANCE... TRAVEL... LAUGH... and ENJOY Your Family together!

You can view their complete Anniversary Album of Images here.

The Phelps Family

Meet Ken...Terry...Morgan...and Savannah!  and I was invited by Ken & Terry to "hopefully" capture a family portrait of this darling family!!  What happened for ME was that I got to spend an awesome Saturday afternoon romping, playing, and getting loved on by some TERRIFIC kids! :) ...  I also "hopefully" succeeded in capturing the family portrait as well!! ...

Morgan is their 11 plus year old yellow lab and Savannah is their 19 month old chocolate lab!  Morgan is also the son of "Sassy" who the Phelps once owned.
(Morgan's mom passed away at the age of 13 years old.)

These two are quite the pair!  Savannah pretty much insists on Morgan keeping up with her, and Morgan does a pretty great job at it! ... :) ...

This family was such a treat to be with!  You can tell by the smile on ALL FOUR of these faces that we truly did have a fun afternoon! ... :) ...

(They kept me on my toes as well!  Almost every time I "stooped" down to get on their level they would barrel straight for me and be right on top of me!!  LOL! ... I was so wishing that I had of brought Craig along with me so that he could journal me shooting this session!  It would definitely be one for the "books"! ;) ... I had SO much fun with this family! )

Unless you are a pet owner, no one truly knows the bond that we share with our four-legged children.  I truly cannot tell you what an honor it was to be asked to shoot this session with this sweet family.  What a joy to stop these sweet "moments in time"... Thank you again Ken & Terry for sharing your Saturday afternoon with me and for sharing Morgan & Savannah with me too!  It was such a sweet & fun afternoon!  I smiled my way through these images as I was going through the editing process and I relived it all over again!  :) ... My prayer is that these images will bring years of smiles and joy back to you and your family!

With my client's permission you may view the complete set of images here.

That's what Kirk said to Kristy... and she said YES! ... and that brings us to Friday, July 13th, 2012!!  :) ...

and now we all know where Kristy gets her "CrAzY Antics" from!! LOL! ... ;) ...

What a perfect gift that she gave to Kirk... he loved it!

Mr. Thompson, Kirk's Dad... he was all smiles as well, such a kind & gentle man...

"The First Look" ...  I loved the anticipation ...

Kristy & Kirk have so much fun together... my prayer for them is for there always to be laughter in  their home...

Kristy had the gift of her two brothers "giving her away" ...

and Kirk had the gift of his Two Daughters standing in for him as "Best Girls" ...

What a special blending of two families and two lives together ...

Thank you again Kirk & Kristy for allowing me the opportunity to "Stop these Moments in time" for you two on such a Special Day!! ... Love you guys!  I am praying God's Richest Blessings on your marriage as you seek Him and build your marriage on His Promises for your lives!

Nicole and Alex Say "I DO" ...

For Nicole and Alex it was the perfect day!  There was a hint of Chinese tradition and oriental touches thanks to Nicole's love for the Asian people, and the time that she spent ministering to them overseas.

A kiss on the cheek and a hug from her precious godly grandmother...

Nicole will enter here through these doors where her groom will await for not only the "First Look" but also their "First Kiss" ... EVER ... Such a special commitment that these two have chosen to make to each other to completely wait for even a First Kiss until their Wedding Day ... How blissful and pure... and how our God is going to honor their Covenant and Vows to each other on this Day.  He will honor them with EXTRA beautiful blessings because of those time honored vows of true purity that they have made since the beginning of their relationship.

And then a deep sigh of "WOW" ... ;)  ...

The Ceremony ...

The Reception ...

The First Dance ...

The Send Off...

A Sweet Good-Bye Kiss to her oldest nephew! :) ...

The Perfect Day ...   :) ...

What an honor and joy to be a part of this couples special day!  The primary photographer for Nicole was Olive's Photography, and they also photographed Nicole's sister's wedding when she got married!  My primary role was for the Rehearsal Dinner and for the Reception as well as candids for the family.  The family have been very dear friends of ours for many, many years and we have had the privilege of watching Nicole and her brother & sister grow up before our eyes!  I loved being able to journal her day for her as well!  What a blessing! ...

Thank you Nicole & Alex and we wish you such joy and happiness ahead as you follow God's plan for your lives!
